On COVID-19
Starting to meet on the 31st of May. Let's go over some of what it will look like:
Time - We'll meet at 10 am for an hour. Sundays only for now.
Social Distancing - Leave every other pew empty. Sit by household. Leave 6ft between households
Lord's Supper - Prepacked bread with grape juice will be served to each member by tongs. The Lord's Supper leader will give instructions before giving the emblems. Bring your own bread and grape juice if you'd like.
Minimizing Spread - Read the CDC article on protecting yourself from COVID-19. Read the CDC article for communities of faith. Wash or sanitize hands when you enter the building. Masks are voluntary. There will be disposable masks available. Sanitizer will be placed in several places in the back. If sick, please stay home. One person at a time in a restroom. Don't use our public water fountain.
Signing - Sing with books to sing facing downward. Odd? Yes, but singing is a fast way to spread viruses in the air. Singing downward may help lessen the spread.
Giving - A box at the back of the building to place your contribution in.
Staying Home - If you are not ready to meet publically, stay home. We must not judge those who choose to assemble and those who choose to stay home at this time.
Online Viewing - Livestreaming will continue at facebook.com/dadecitycoc/live
How Long Will This Last? - New information comes out every couple of days. We will review our practices every couple of weeks. Lord willing, we can roll back many of the social distancing measures soon.
